Brisbane pair Matt Gillett and Corey Parker are set to recover from injury in time to play for Queensland in State of Origin III, the Broncos confirmed on Tuesday.

However, neither player will be fit to play in the Broncos' NRL clash with cellar dwellers Cronulla on Friday.

Gillett has been cleared of a serious shoulder injury after leaving the field early in the Broncos' loss to the Warriors on Saturday.

Parker suffered a facial injury in Brisbane's round-13 win over Canberra that ruled him out of Origin II.

Brisbane have a round-17 bye ahead of the final Origin fixture at Suncorp Stadium on July 9 and Parker and Gillett are likely to be available for selection as NSW attempt a 3-0 series clean sweep.

Broncos and Queensland centre Justin Hodges will return to play the Sharks after being rested against the Warriors.

However, hooker Andrew McCullough won't be back until the Broncos' round-18 game against Penrith.
