Girls in care abuse accused faces WA court

A man, 65, charged with sexual offences against young girls who were in care at Perth's Manguri Residential Cottages in the 1990s has faced court.

A 65-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting three young girls at a Perth care facility for Aboriginal children during the 1990s has made a brief appearance in court.

Police allege Dennis Roy Michael abused the girls when they were aged between four and 10, and being cared for at Manguri Residential Cottages in Queens Park between 1991 and 1996.

The man appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, faced with 14 charges.

His bail was renewed and he will next face court on November 12.
