Australia's Georgia Godwin has finished 13th in the women's individual all-around final at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Canada.
In a sold-out Montreal Olympic Stadium, Godwin improved seven places from qualification to finish with a score of 52.032.
The 19-year-old exceeded her qualification scores on uneven bars and floor, and despite another consistent beam routine, had to battle through the roars of the crowd whilst local favourite Ellie Black competed on floor at the same time during the final rotation.
"I knew she (Black) was going at the same time ... so I was prepared for the loud noise that the crowd made," Godwin said.
"I'm confident now that whatever happens I can still stay confident, stay on the beam and focus on what I need to do."
American Morgan Hurd claimed the all-around world title in her maiden world championships with a score of 55.232, spoiling Black's bid to become the first Canadian winner.
Five-time Canadian champion Black finished second to the 16-year-old Hurd by 0.101 points, with Russian Eremina Elena third.
Godwin said it was a surreal feeling to be ranked as the 13th best all-arounder in the world.
"It feels great ... I'm surprised actually because I feel like I did pretty much the same as qualifications, just cleaned up a little bit," she said.
Gold Coast local Godwin now has her eyes on the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
"It's in my home town on the Gold Coast, I'm super excited to hopefully qualify and represent Australia in the Commonwealth Games."
