Goetze in Bayern squad to play Frankfurt

Mario Goetze is in Bayern Munich's squad to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga in Saturday after recovering from injury.

New signing

Bayern coach Pep Guardiola says the Germany star "has only trained six or seven times with us, but he is a very intelligent player. He'll come with us to Frankfurt."

Goetze, a 37 million euro ($A53.91 million) offseason transfer from Bundesliga rival Borussia Dortmund, made his Bayern debut in a friendly game at Hungarian champion Gyor last Sunday, scoring two goals in a 4-1 win.

The 21-year-old hadn't played since April 30, when a hamstring injury forced him out of the Champions League semifinal at Real Madrid.

Guardiola is leaving open the possibility of Goetze playing on Saturday.
