Police are searching for two men wanted over a Gold Coast high-rise shooting.

The pair barged into a room at the Mantra Crown Towers resort at Surfers Paradise on Friday.

A heated scuffle broke out and a 31-year-old man was shot in the stomach.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage to better identify the men, described as being aged between 25 and 30.

The victim underwent surgery and it's understood police hope to find leads by speaking to him and two friends.
