Good news for MH370 search: Bishop

News that wreckage found in La Reunion is "in all probability" from flight MH370 will better inform the search effort, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says.

News that wreckage found on Reunion Island is "in all probability" from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 confirms Australia has been searching in the right area, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says.

Australia would continue to search for the black box and other parts that might solve the mystery for the victims' families until such time as experts advise otherwise.

"I hope that this finding will enable us to find the plane sooner rather than later," Ms Bishop said in Kuala Lumpur.
