Retief Goosen will return to the Open Championship for the first time since 2015 after successfully negotiating the qualifiers for this month's event at Carnoustie.
The 49-year-old two-time US Open champion earned one of the 12 spots available from four final qualifying events held around Britain on Tuesday.
The South African carded rounds of 71 and 72 to finish one under par at Prince's in Kent and qualify behind England's Tom Lewis and Haraldur Magnus of Iceland.
Goosen might have thought his chance had gone when his putt at the last hole lipped out and he took two putts for a bogey but he held off the chasing pack by one stroke.
