There have been calls to widen a Queensland government inquiry into political donations so it includes all parties.
Key crossbencher Billy Gordon, who resigned from the Labor Party earlier this year, says it's in the public interest to broaden the Palaszczuk government's inquiry.
"It's really important for voters out there to get a clear idea about what kind of political donations parties are getting and who they're receiving them from," he told AAP.
The inquiry intends to focus on the Liberal National Party - a move the opposition says will make the probe little more than a "witch hunt".
Two Katter's Australian Party crossbenchers, Rob Katter and Shane Knuth, have not yet said whether they support widening the inquiry.
It comes after the premier signed a deal with Speaker Peter Wellington for the probe after gaining his support in the wake of January's inconclusive election result.
The government is due to release the inquiry's terms of reference at the end of this month.
