The much anticipated return of Games of Thrones has crashed streaming service HBO Go in the US.
Season four of the cult fantasy drama aired in the US on Sunday night.
It will premiere in Australia on Foxtel's Showcase on Monday at 3.30pm (AEST) with a prime time encore four hours later at 7.30pm.
High demand to watch the premiere online crashed HBO's streaming service, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the report viewers were met with "long load times", while many just got a "fatal error" message.
HBO Go experienced a similar problem in March when viewers rushed to log on to watch the True Detective finale.
Game of Thrones will celebrate the season four premiere at a special event screening in Sydney, which will be attended by Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Coster-Waldau, who stars as Jaime Lannister in the show, is in Australia filming director Alex Proyas' new movie Gods of Egypt with Gerard Butler.
