Government accused of "pettiness" over refugee funding

The Refugee Council of Australia says it's lost more than half a million dollars funding promised in the federal budget just weeks ago.

Council chief executive Paul Power has described the decision as petty and vindictive.

The Council's federal funding now consists of a $140,000 annual grant, about a quarter of its annual budget.

Refugee Council chief executive Paul Power spoke to Ella Archibald-Binge about what the cut will mean for the organisation.
