The Refugee Council of Australia says the government is being petty by removing promised funding just weeks after the federal budget.

The Refugee Council of Australia says it's lost more than half a million dollars funding promised in the federal budget just weeks ago.

 

Council chief executive Paul Power has described the decision as petty and vindictive.

 

The Council's federal funding now consists of a $140,000 annual grant, about a quarter of its annual budget.
