Government fund for migrant and refugee job seekers

FECCA has welcomed a multi-million dollar fund aimed at migrant and refugee job seekers.

The national body representing ethnic communities is welcoming a multi-million dollar fund aimed at migrants and refugee job seekers.

 

Under the federal government's six million dollar Migrant Communities Employment Fund, employer organisations will recieve funding to develop and implement projects that help job seekers prepare for and gain employment.

 

The fund will also focus on increasing the capacity of employers to hire refugee and migrant workers.

 

Chair of The Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia Pino Migliorino told Aileen Phillips this a positive response to a long-standing issue.
