Australian travellers to Indonesia have been urged to exercise vigilance, amid warnings groups inspired by the conflict in the Middle East harbour "anti-western motivations".
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade updated its advice on Monday, warning the threat of an attack remained high and could occur "anywhere at anytime", in the wake of the deadly January 14 blasts in Jakarta.
DFAT said the overall level of advice remained at level two, with people urged to "exercise a high degree of caution", but warned: "Groups linked to or inspired by the conflict in Syria and Iraq have anti-western motivations".
