The Greens will push for changes to the My Health Record laws to ensure police can only access people's data if they have a warrant.

The Greens will push changes to the digital health record laws to make sure police can only access health data with a warrant.

Greens leader Richard Di Natale will pursue a private bill when parliament returns in August to ensure law enforcement agencies can only access My Health Record data with a court order.

Health Minister Greg Hunt is talking with doctors about how to ensure people's health records are protected, after privacy concerns were raised about the digital health records.
