German Andre Greipel easily won a sprint finish to the fourth stage of the Tour of the Low Countries on Thursday as reigning champion Lars Boom grabbed the leader's jersey.
Greipel proved a class above the competition in the run-in at the end of the 169km run from Essen to Vlijmen, finishing well clear of Italian Giacomo Nizzolo in second with Boom third.
That was enough to move the Dutchman ahead of France's Arnaud Demare in the overall standings due to bonus time on offer at the finish.
Demare dropped to third, three seconds off Belkin's Boom, with Greipel moving up to second at just one second thanks to his victory.
Friday's fifth stage will see the riders tackle a 13.2km time trial around Sittard-Geleen with last year's Tour de France winner and Team Sky leader Bradley Wiggins the big favourite for victory in that.
