The grieving mother and sister of a 16-year-old murder victim will front the media on Friday, a day after a 60-year-old man was charged over the killing.

Police are yet to find the body of Tiffany Taylor, who was last seen leaving a motel at Logan, south of Brisbane, more than a month ago.

On Thursday, a 60-year-old Annerley man was charged with murdering the teen. He's due to front the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.

Tiffany was last seen at about 11.45am on July 12, leaving a motel in the Logan suburb of Waterford West.

On July 31, almost three weeks after she was last seen, police issued a public appeal for help to find her, saying her lack of contact with family or friends was out of character.

Tiffany's mother and sister will address the media at 1pm on Friday, alongside Logan police involved in the investigation.
