Grisly find outside rural WA post office

A mummified piece of toe found by a postal worker outside their workplace in WA's Wheatbelt region is not considered to be linked to anything suspicious.

A piece of mummified toe discovered outside a rural West Australian post office is being investigated by police, who say there is not yet any evidence of suspicious or criminal activity in relation to the grisly find.

A staff member came across it as they were sweeping the front verandah and footpath outside the Beverley Post Office in WA's Wheatbelt region on Thursday morning.

"The item has been identified as a small piece of a toe that was old enough to be dry and mummified," police said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
