A hospital security guard has been stabbed with a syringe after disturbing an intruder.
The guard, from the South Coast District Hospital at Victor Harbor, south of Adelaide, will undergo tests following the incident, police say.
He was stabbed in the upper arm late on Thursday night with his attacker running from the scene.
