Gym teacher charged with indecent assault

NSW police have charged a middle-aged gymnastics instructor with two counts of indecently assaulting a teenage boy.

A teenage boy has allegedly been indecently assaulted by a Sydney gymnastics instructor during a massage.

The male instructor, 41, was charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault after he was arrested by child abuse squad detectives at a home in Ermington, in Sydney's west, on Monday afternoon.

"A 14-year-old boy had been allegedly indecently assaulted during a sports massage earlier in the day," police said.

Investigations into the man, who instructs at Gladesville and Olympic Park as well as privately, are continuing.

The man is due before Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
