Halfback Pulu staying put with Chiefs

Halfback Augustine Pulu extends his tenure at the Super Rugby champion Chiefs by a further two years.

The Chiefs have re-signed halfback Augustine Pulu for a further two seasons.

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie was pleased offers from other teams have been fended off and the 24-year-old can add to his three seasons with the Super Rugby champions.

"Augustine is a real high quality person whose game has developed in leaps and bounds over the past couple of years," Rennie said.

"He is a dynamic and physical player with an outstanding kicking game."

Pulu was named Counties Manukau player of the season in last year's NPC.
