X-Men director Bryan Singer has dismissed reports that he has cut Halle Berry's Storm character out of his latest blockbuster.

Gossip surrounding Berry's role is rife with bloggers saying insiders on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past knew the actress' mutant character had been cut from the film, but producers were too nervous to tell the Oscar winner.

Singer attempted to end the speculation on Monday when he responded to Digital Spy's Twitter question about the reports.

The website's editor asked, "@bryansinger are the rumours about Storm being cut down to just 1 scene true?"

Singer simply responded, "No".
