'Hamstring awareness' is the bizarre new buzzword doing the rounds in the AFL this season.
But there's nobody more aware of their hamstring at the moment than Chris Fagan.
Heading into Saturday's clash with Greater Western Sydney, the Brisbane Lions coach's biggest injury concern might just be himself.
Fagan is recovering from surgery after rupturing his hamstring tendon in a freak accident nearly two weeks ago.
Participating in the 'Big Freeze' charity event where all 18 coaches agreed to slide into a pool of ice-cold water at the MCG to raise money for motor neurone disease research, Fagan was attempting to climb out when he slipped and took a tumble.
Most people thought he was joking when he said afterwards that he'd feared he tore his hamstring off the bone.
Fortunately, it hasn't affected Fagan's preparation for Brisbane's clash with the Giants at the Gabba, where he intends to coach from the box as per usual.
"I'm here, and I'm standing up and I feel good," Fagan said.
"I must admit when I had the surgery I was led to believe I might be on crutches for two or three weeks. That was a real possibility but I haven't been on crutches at all.
"I'm grateful for that, I'm able to get around and pretty much do what I usually do.
"I can't run around much at training but I'm out there and involved.
"I'll be in the box, because I can get up and down steps. I just have to leave a little bit earlier because I can't do it that quickly."
