Hanson touches down for Qld election

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has declared the Queensland state election is now "truly" under way after she returned from a trip to India.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has arrived back in Australia to join the Queensland election campaign, singling out the cost of electricity as one of the party's major platforms.

Senator Hanson touched down at Brisbane Airport from a parliamentary delegation to India on Sunday night, greeted by a group of supporters and candidates.

Both the Labor and Liberal National parties had failed to deliver true leadership, she said.

"They're going to realise now they truly have a campaign on now I am back in Queensland," Senator Hanson told reporters.

The campaign is entering its second week and a poll has predicted neither major party is likely to win a majority in the state's 93-seat parliament on November 25.

Senator Hanson echoed earlier comments from LNP leader Tim Nicholls in rejecting there was any deal to exchange preferences between the parties.

"There's no deal whatsoever," she said.

"It's up to the people of Queensland to decide how they care to vote and where their vote will go.

"I will respect the voting public."

Asked what she saw as major campaign issues, Senator Hanson cited electricity supply and power prices along with increasing crime rates and drug use.

"The main factor is to drive down the electricity prices," she said.

"We will make this not the sunshine state but the power state."

One Nation wants the Labor government to redirect Cross River Rail funding towards its preferred infrastructure proposals, including a $1.5 billion coal-fired power station in the state's north.
