Hawks star Luke Hodge to retire from AFL

In the week of his 300th AFL match, Hawthorn veteran Luke Hodge has confirmed this season will be his last.

AGE: 33

* Taken as the first of three priority picks at the top of the AFL's celebrated 2001 "super draft". Luke Ball was taken with the second pick and Chris Judd was third. Other 2001 draftees include Jimmy Bartel, Steve Johnson, Sam Mitchell, Gary Ablett and Dane Swan.
