Jack Gunston has committed his AFL future to Hawthorn, signing up until 2022.

The key forward was out of contract at the end of next year but the Hawks pounced ahead of time to secure the 26-year-old to a long-term deal.

"Jack's an important member of our leadership group and at just 26, we feel he has some of his best footy still ahead of him," Hawthorn football boss Graham Wright said.

Gunston has won three premierships with Hawthorn since moving from Adelaide in 2011.

The Hawks also announced new deals for 37-gamer Kaiden Brand, untested rookie Oliver Hanrahan and Irish recruit Conor Nash on Wednesday.
