Hayne crashes through for touchdown

Jarryd Hayne smashed through five defenders to score a touchdown at San Francisco 49ers' practice.

Jarryd Hayne has impressed his San Francisco 49ers teammates by crashing through five defenders for a touchdown.

Hayne's run came during practice on Sunday at the NFL team's Santa Clara facility.

The touchdown was reminiscent of Hayne's many highlights during his rugby league career with the Parramatta Eels, NSW and Australian teams.

The 49ers' four-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Joe Staley was impressed with the Australian's power.

"That was pretty rugby-esque, kind of lateral, bumping off people," Staley said, the Bay Area News Group reported.

Hayne is battling to make the 49ers' 53-player squad for the upcoming NFL season.
