NSW are playing down concerns Jarryd Hayne may not be fully fit for State of Origin II after the superstar fullback only made a fleeting appearance at training on Thursday.
Man of the match in NSW's 12-8 win over Queensland in the series opener, Hayne continues to be troubled by a leg cork six days out from game two in Sydney.
He failed to train at all on Wednesday and only ran lightly during the Blues' second session at their Coffs Harbour base, but vice-captain Robbie Farah insists Hayne will be on deck at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.
"He'll be right. He warmed up with us and did all our plays at the start," Farah said.
"It's still six days away. He'll be training by the end of the week so it's no dramas."
Centre Michael Jennings said Hayne was too valuable to risk and the Blues were only resting their game-breaker as a precaution.
"It's just maintaining, making sure he's alright and making sure he's back at 100 per cent rather than 90 per cent," Jennings said.
With the Blues to have Friday off, Hayne will only have three sessions to gel with new three-quarters Will Hopoate and Josh Dugan, who have come into the side to replace injured twins Josh and Brett Morris.
"It helps that we've got pretty similar combinations to game one," Farah said.
"Haynesy knows what it takes to get himself right, so he'll be right to go.
"(We've got) three sessions - Saturday, Sunday (and Tuesday). Sunday will be the big one.
"We'll have an opposed session and then just head back down to Sydney for a captain's run.
"Things are looking good. We trained well today and the boys are looking sharp."
Skipper Paul Gallen is also yet to participate in contact work as he recovers from a neck injury, but otherwise trained strongly on Thursday.
"He'll be right," Farah said.
