Kangaroos back Jarryd Hayne says he will play fullback for Parramatta next season after finishing the rugby league World Cup in the centres.

Gifted utility back Jarryd Hayne has revealed he will play fullback under new Parramatta coach Brad Arthur after finishing Australia's triumphant rugby league World Cup campaign in the centres.

Hayne finished joint top tryscorer for the tournament with Kangaroos teammate Brett Morris.

Capable of influencing games from, fullback, wing and even five-eighth, Hayne ended the World Cup in the centres, where he played his junior football.

His form there prompted talk he might be considered there for next year's NSW State of Origin team.

Asked about where he will play for Parramatta next season, Hayne said: "Fullback. I'll be playing fullback, yeah.

He said he had been in regular contact with Arthur and his co-captain Tim Mannah while he had been over in Europe.

Fellow utility Greg Inglis, who also found himself fin the centres at the end of the tournament , was adamant he had not suffered a broken hand in the final.

"The body is fine, just precautionary with the hand. I'll go for a scan today sometime," Inglis said.

"I know there's nothing broken in it. So that's a good start."

Morris said he was fine after collecting a knock and had a corked hip and "a nice big bruise on my butt".
