Josh Hazlewood has made a compelling case for selection at the World Twenty20, grabbing a hat-trick in Australia's warm-up game.
Hazlewood trapped Jason Holder lbw then rattled the stumps of Marlon Samuels and Dwayne Bravo to complete the rare feat against West Indies in Kolkata on Sunday.
Regrettably for the 25-year-old, being a practice game it won't count towards his international T20 record.
But figures of 3-4 from Hazlewood's opening three-over spell will have selectors second-guessing themselves ahead of Australia's World T20 opener against New Zealand.
Hazlewood was not expected to be part of Australia's XI for that clash in Dharamsala.
The Test spearhead went for 0-50 during a recent T20 against South Africa in Johannesburg.
Against West Indies, Hazlewood reminded selectors of how dangerous he can be with the new ball in hand.
Retired Australian paceman Brett Lee is one of four bowlers to have achieved a hat-trick in a T20 international.
