Health lobby groups and researchers have been meeting with politicians in Canberra this week to discuss ways to improve health services for disadvantaged Australians.

The National Complex Needs Alliance includes representatives from the Indigenous Doctors Association and the National Organisation for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.

The alliance's chairwoman Lyn Morgain says it is critical to ensure health services are better tailored to suit the diverse needs of a multicultural Australia.
