The family of former world champion surfer Andy Irons who died last November have released the toxicology report into his death.

Irons, who won three world titles, died of a sudden cardiac arrest due to a severe blockage of a major heart artery.

The toxicology report reveals as a possible contributing factor a acute mixed drug ingestion.

But two leading pathologists disagree on whether a genetic predisposition to heart failure allied with a severe bout of flu and travelling while sick led to his heart attack at the age of 32 last November.
