Shaquille O'Neal's No. 32 jersey will be retired by the Miami Heat in a ceremony at halftime of the team's pre-Christmas game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Heat decided to retire the number earlier this year but only finalised the December 22 date on Monday. The Lakers retired No. 34, the number O'Neal wore for them, in April 2013.
O'Neal will be the third former Heat player from the team to receive the honour, joining Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway.
