Heat warning for Victorian regions

Two Victorian weather districts have been hit with heat health alerts ahead of expected temperatures above 40C on Thursday and Friday.

Heat health alerts have been issued for two Victorian districts as the state braces for two days of temperatures above 40C.

Authorities have warned people in the North Central and Northern Country weather regions to watch out for the heat on Thursday, with temperatures predicted to stay above 40C on Friday.

The heat is expected to drop slightly to 34C across the state on Saturday, but will remain hot on Sunday.
