Michael Hendry's steadily improving scorecards at the World Cup of Golf at Royal Melbourne are providing little comfort for the New Zealand No.1.
Hendry compiled an even-par 71 in the third round on Saturday to go with his earlier 75 and 73, leaving him still well back at six-over and in a tie for 44th.
"I keep making the same frustrating mistakes each and every day and it's just starting to wear on me a bit," he said.
"It's unfortunate, because I feel the rest of the game, apart from those few repeating mistakes, is actually pretty good."
Teammate Tim Wilkinson also had his best round of the week with a one-under 70 to be one shot behind Hendry.
The pair's combined total of 13-over had them 23rd out of the 26 teams in the field, and 24 shots behind leaders Australia.
The host nation also head the individual standings, with Jason Day firing a five-under third-round 66 to go nine-under.
Day holds a one-shot lead over Denmark's Thomas Bjorn, who had started the day atop the leaderboard but had to be content with a 71.
