THE 2017 HIGHS AND LOWS OF NICK KYRGIOS

QUEENS (June): The ninth seed retires from his first round match against Donald Young with a hip injury that will plague the rest of his season.
WIMBLEDON (July): Again retires in the first round. After little over an hour, and down two sets to love against French world No.70 Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Kyrgios' Wimbledon campaign is over.
WASHINGTON OPEN (August): Retires while down 6-3 3-0 to No.106 Tennys Sandgren due to a shoulder complaint in the second round.
CINCINNATI MASTERS (August): Breezes into his first Masters 1000 final, defeating top seed Nadal 6-2 7-5 in the quarter-finals before losing to Bulgarian seventh seed Grigor Dimitrov in the final in straight sets.
US OPEN (August): Claims he is "not dedicated to the game at all" after his shock first-round exit to fellow Australian John Millman. Complaining of a "dead" shoulder, Kyrgios succumbs in four sets.
