They'll be brothers in arms on Friday night, but don't expect Stephen and Bradley Hill to link up at the same AFL club any time soon - if ever.
The mercurial brothers will headline the Indigenous All Stars squad for Friday's clash with West Coast at Leederville Oval.
It will be just the second time ever the duo have played on the same side - the other time being when a 13-year-old Bradley filled in for his older brother's team in juniors.
Bradley is now 21 years old and has two premiership medals to his name at Hawthorn.
Stephen, 24, is yet to taste the ultimate success, but he has established himself as a key cog in Fremantle's quest for a maiden flag.
The pair grew up in Western Australia dreaming of playing together at the elite level.
But with Bradley signed on at Hawthorn until the end of 2017, and Stephen locked away at Fremantle until 2019, a reunion at AFL level appears unlikely.
"Obviously I thought about it when I was younger. Growing up I always wanted to play with my brother," Bradley said on Monday.
"But I'm enjoying myself at Hawthorn, and I'm not thinking about any of that now. I love it at the Hawks."
Stephen took most of the plaudits growing up, but Bradley has the current bragging rights after claiming two premiership medals - including one against Fremantle in the 2013 grand final.
The pair normally avoid talking about football with each other.
But with the pair reunited this week for the All Stars clash, Bradley was quick to reminisce about the time he got called up to play in his older brother's side in junior ranks.
"I was little compared to everyone else," Bradley said.
"I remember I was running around on the field and couldn't get the footy.
"Stephen was the best player in his team growing up. It was good to run out there with him."
Stars such as Adam Goodes, Cyril Rioli, Travis Varcoe, and Shaun Burgoyne are part of the 59-man Indigenous squad that have come to Perth for the week.
Coach Andy Lovell will name a 26-man team for the match later in the week, with Goodes expected to miss the clash as the 35-year-old is eased into the season proper.
Fremantle goalsneak Michael Walters (foot) and Power gun Chad Wingard (knee) will also miss the match as they continue to build up their fitness.
Stephen said he was honoured to be part of the All Stars concept.
"We want to make our people proud," he said.
"And playing alongside other Indigenous players - there's exciting talent in the team."
