Hoax calls made to Victorian schools

Schools in Victoria have been targeted in the wave of threats made against educational facilities across Australia.

THREATS MADE TO VICTORIAN SCHOOLS:

FRIDAY

* Automated calls warned a bomb was in the school grounds

* Undisclosed number of schools targeted including ones in Berwick, Craigieburn, Reservoir, Wonthaggi, Cowes (Phillip Island), Sale, Morwell, Lakes Entrance

TUESDAY

* Automated and voice calls to 17 schools warning of bombs, shooters

* Bairnsdale, Warragul, Kooweerup, Sorrento, Mornington Peninsula, Wonthaggi, South Morang, Reservoir, Cragieburn, Werribee, Greenvale, Black Rock, Seaford, Elwood and Pakenham were targeted

WEDNESDAY

* Undisclosed number of schools evacuated following undisclosed threats by phone

* Schools evacuated include some in Mildura, Warnambool, Shepparton and Ringwood
