Hockeyroos defeat Ireland in NZ

Australia have beaten Ireland 3-0 in the women's hockey tournament in Hastings.

The Hockeyroos have booked a place in the semi-finals of the Hawkes Bay Cup with a 3-0 win over Ireland in Hastings.

Georgie Parker scored a double either side of Ashleigh Nelson's deflection to secure the victory.

Australia's women will face either hosts New Zealand or Korea, who finished bottom of Pool A, as they seek to secure a third consecutive appearance in the grand final.
