Hodges charged with Origin high tackle

Justin Hodges has been charged with a grade one high tackle from Origin II, but is free to play this weekend if he takes the early guilty plea.

Justin Hodges has been hit with a grade one careless high tackle charge from State of Origin II, but will be free to play in the NRL's round 15 this weekend regardless if he contests the charge or takes the early plea.

Hodges was hit with the charge by the NRL Match Review Committee for a first half hit on Ryan Hoffman in the Blues' 26-18, which sent the back-rower from the field for a concussion check.

The charge carries 75 points for a guilty verdict, with the early guilty plea earning 56 points.

That means Hodges will be available for Brisbane's match against Melbourne at AAMI Park on Saturday night.
