Bank of England Governor, Mark Carney, has spoken to the BBC expressing concerns about delaying an EU referendum in the country.

In an interview with the BBC, Mr Carney said that uncertainty about Britain's future in the European Union may cause businesses to delay their investment decisions.

British Prime Minister, David Cameron, has pledged to hold a referendum on Britain and the EU by 2017.

Mr Carney said businesses have not yet acted on that uncertainty, but added it was in the country's interest to resolve the matter as soons as possible.
