Holden is recalling almost 42,000 cars over a potential fault affecting front seatbelts.
The precautionary vehicle safety recall affects certain MY14 VF Commodore and WN Caprice vehicles, Holden said in a statement on Monday.
Holden says an issue has been identified with certain seatbelts and the recall will affect 41,933 vehicles in Australia.
It said the issue was raised from an internal investigation following an isolated case at its assembly plant in South Australia and there have been no reports of any accidents or injuries resulting from this.
The car maker says it will contact all potentially affected customers directly to arrange an inspection and repair.
Holden says the potential issue affects the pretensioner wiring harness on certain cars.
The pretensioner wiring harness is a safety feature in certain crashes which is designed to take up the seatbelt's slack just before an airbag deploy.
It says all other safety devices, including airbags, are unaffected by this condition.
