The workers might have voted for survival, but the future's still far from certain for carmaker Holden.
Yesterday, 1700 workers at Holden's Elizabeth plant in Adelaide's north agreed to a three-year wage freeze and cuts to entitlements - sacrifices aimed at keeping the iconic auto brand going beyond 2016.
But the Executive Director of the Australian Workplace Innovation and Social Research Centre, John Spoehr, told Karen Ashford those sacrifices will be in vain unless there's strong federal support from whoever wins next month's election.
