Heavily armed police who surrounded a house on the NSW Central Coast following reports of gunshots have stormed the property to find nobody home.
Officers were called to the residence in Mangrove Mountain, near Gosford, about 9.30am on Monday following reports shots were fired at a car.
Specialist units later surrounded the property and sheltered behind cars.
But on entering the home about 4.15pm, they found a gun and a cartridge but no shooter.
