Hoon allegedly clocked at 232km/h in WA

A hoon driver had his car impounded after he was detected travelling at more than 230km/h on a West Australian road.

A man's high-performance car has been impounded after he was allegedly clocked driving at about 140km over the speed limit in Western Australia.

The Holden HSV Clubsport was detected travelling at 232km/h in a 90km/h zone by officers at Rudds Gully in Geraldton on Friday evening.

The 32-year-old driver will face court at a later date, while the car was impounded for 28 days.
