Wallabies back Rob Horne says rugby is in the business of producing results and wants to see a tie-breaker to avoid stalemates like the one against New Zealand last weekend.
In the opening Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship game, the trans-Tasman rivals slugged their way to a 12-12 draw at ANZ Stadium.
"When the fulltime siren went and the game was over I think both sides just sort of looked at each other and said "is that it?'" Horne said.
"It was a really strange feeling. I don't make any decisions in world rugby but I'm not sure if ending on draws is the best way of moving forward, but it was certainly a strange feeling.
"I feel like there needs to be a result. 68,000 people turned up to see a result and they didn't get to see that.
"Whatever it is, extra-time, golden point, a drop goal, kick-offs, whatever, I feel like there needs to be a result, because that's what we're in the business of, results.
"If that didn't matter, then they wouldn't keep score."
Horne made his first Test start in two years in last Saturday's game.
After previously playing internationals at inside and outside centre, Horne lined up on the wing, a position his NSW Waratahs coach Michael Cheika suggested he try during the Super Rugby pre-season.
Horne said that utility value had been hugely important in securing a place in the Wallabies squad this year.
"With the players we have and the depth we have, I couldn't imagine I would be back in the side without having that versatility," Horne said.
"I managed to get a bench spot during that June series (against France) purely based on that, I could cover those (three) positions."
While Australia didn't manage a try last weekend, Horne felt their backline had plenty of scoring potential.
"We created a lot actually," Horne said.
"I think I draw heart from that in those conditions, that we played a fair bit more rugby than they did and I think moving forward, conditions permitted, we can do some damage.
Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie has offered no clues to possible team changes for Saturday's return clash in Auckland and whether he could bring in Bernard Foley for Kurtley Beale at five-eighth.
Centre Matt Toomua and halfback Nic White had corks and No.8 Wycliff Palu suffered a head knock, but all are expected to be available.
