Hourly pay rates up 0.5 in Dec qtr

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released its wage price index.

Wage are growing at their slowest pace on record.

Total hourly rates of pay, excluding bonuses, rose by 0.5 per cent in the December quarter, and for an annual rise of 2.2 per cent, official figures show.
