A fire on the top floor of a building at Centennial Park in Sydney has been contained, media reports say.

Fire and Rescue NSW said earlier crews were the scene, but a Channel Seven reporter says the fire had been contained.
The fire, on Cook Road at Sydney’s Centennial Park, broke out shortly before 4pm, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

The top floor of the apartment building was engulfed in flames and numerous crews from Fire and Rescue NSW reportedly attended the scene.

It is not yet known what caused the fire or whether anyone was injured.

More details to come.
