Legal threats and a social media spat have divided the Real Housewives of Melbourne in real life.
Business owner Andrea Moss has revealed she is portrayed as angry and facetious during episodes four (currently airing) and five because she had received a legal threat from fellow Housewife barrister Gina Liano.
The Real Housewives of Melbourne screens on Foxtel's Arena channel and features half a dozen successful women and their interaction with each other and their own family and friends.
Moss told AAP during a Foxtel media day in Sydney that she had to bite her tongue during the filming of the latest episodes on the legal advice of the show's producer's.
"In episodes four and five I am angry with things that are happening off camera," Moss explained.
"I am wanting to show that I am angry but kept getting told I couldn't talk about it (legal letter).
"I received a legal threat from one of the other housewives and it offended me and then it changed everything. I was angry with this person.
"In episode seven the issues that I have been dealing with are there on the table."
Moss said things had gone from bad to worse since filming for the series ended last year and claimed Liano recently posted a "vulgar" message on Facebook.
Her accusation was backed up by fellow Housewife Janet Roach, who has been taken aback by Liano's actions towards Moss.
"I don't have an issue with her, so I am really hurt and disappointed in the way she has attacked the other girls," Roach told AAP.
"I can't believe a woman would even think of it."
All six housewives have signed three-year contracts to appear on the series, although they are free to leave whenever they want.
Moss said she had not committed to a second series and was torn between walking away from the tension building between her and Liana or standing her ground.
"I'm horrified at the thought of doing a second season because I can see it getting nasty between myself and Gina, to be perfectly honest, Moss said.
"She's done something in the last two weeks which is a new low for her and it's all off-camera and nothing to do with the show.
"I just thought if someone has nothing to lose with someone like me who has something to lose, I am not interested in being in the same room as her."
