Housing prices rose 0.1% last week

Auction clearance rates and home prices are rising in Australia's capitals, with a median house price of $584,792 and a unit price $519,599.

Home prices across Australia's five major capital cities edged 0.1higher last week while the auction clearance rate jumped almost eight percentage points.

The clearance rate surged to 76.7 per cent in the week ending February 13, up from 68.7 per cent the previous week.

The median capital city house price was $584,792 in the week, while the median unit price was $519,599.
