How much of a rate cut do banks pass on?

Since 2011, half the RBA's rate cuts have been passed on in full or within 0.01 percentage points by the banks - although the most recent was also the smallest.

November 2011 - 0.25 basis point cut - 0.24 basis point reduction in the average standard variable rate

December 2011 - 0.25 cut - 0.25 passed on

May 2012 - 0.50 cut - 0.37 passed on

June 2012 - 0.25 cut - 0.21 passed on

October 2012 - 0.25 cut - 0.19 passed on

December 2012 - 0.25 cut - 0.20 passed on

May 2013 - 0.25 cut - 0.25 passed on

August 2013 - 0.25 cut - 0.26 passed on

February 2015 - 0.25 cut - 0.26 passed on

May 2015 - 0.25 cut - 0.21 passed on

May 2016 - 0.25 cut - 0.24 passed on

August 2016 - 0.25 cut - 0.13 passed on

June 2019 - 0.25 - TBC
