A human resources manager in Melbourne is taking her former company to court after they allegedly retaliated against her when she tried to stop employees being bullied.

Susy Camillo, a former human resources manager at Cheltenham-based security business Monjon, says she was repeatedly abused, bullied, insulted and defamed by managing director John Moncrieff after she confronted him in 2015 about an alleged assault on a female staff member.

Law firm Maurice Blackburn have filed documents in the Federal Court seeking penalties and damages for pain and suffering for Ms Camillo, who was allegedly told she was "f***ing crazy" by Mr Moncrieff when discussing his treatment of staff.
